Media plays an important role in the everyday lives of children aged one to three. Through television shows and online videos young children mentally experience initial narratives as they involve themselves with the characters and stories presented to them. It is how they get a grip on the world. Video programming is arguably the most influential medium in today’s media driven culture.
For a small child, their world is grasped and understood mentally and physically. Music also has power, forming brain connections that are established over the first three years of life. Even before children can form sentences, what they watch effects them on a mental and emotional level. We use that to our advantage by introducing empowering imagery at a young age along with catchy music.
But to learn, students must do more than just listen: they must read, write, discuss, or be engaged in solving problems. Goose Goose Duck companion activity packs help create positive interactions that young children need in order to learn effectively.
The combination of our animated videos and activities offer fun opportunities for parent-child interactions.
