Dana M. Wheeler is the Director of Education and Program Development for Police Athletic League, Inc., where she oversees academic, SEL and arts learning for over 20 after school and summer day camp K-8 programs all over the five boroughs of NYC. As part of PAL’s senior management team, she collaborates with all departments to ensure that the agency’s overall mission and goals are attained. Ms. Wheeler earned a BS from Drexel University in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and an MS from Bank Street College of Education in General Childhood Education. Ms. Wheeler’s experiences as a teacher and curriculum developer in the New York City independent school network and Director of Curriculum and Instruction at GO Project made her determined to make memorable learning experiences for all youth, no matter their circumstances. Before becoming an educator, Ms. Wheeler worked in various roles in the online marketing division of Clear Channel Entertainment, now called Live Nation, eventually becoming the Online Customer Service Manager. Ms. Wheeler fondly looks back on her short career as a record store manager in Philadelphia, as she is a fan of the arts. She also enjoys video games, being an auntie, mentor, and participating in alumni events at Bank Street College of Education.
